There are some types of windows license key such as RETAIL, OEM, Volume licence(MAK & KMS) & MSDN product key have expiry date.
Retail product key and OEM product key, The both have no expiry date.
To check the validity of Windows licence key follow the following steps:
Step 1 : Open Command Prompt
Step 2 : Type exactly any of "slmgr -xpr" or "slmgr /xpr" or "slmgr.vbs -xpr" or "slmgr.vbs /xpr" without the quotes.
Step 3 : Now hit 'Enter key'. A dialog box will open bey the information of the type of key.
